Max Burmeister studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Alexander University in Bonn, focusing on commercial law. After passing his first state examination, he completed a master’s degree in commercial law at Maastricht University, which he concluded with a Master of Laws (LL.M.). During his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Aachen, he worked, among others, for the German Foreign Office in Wellington (New Zealand) and for an international commercial law firm in Düsseldorf.Since his admission to the bar in 2021, Max Burmeister has been working as a lawyer at CBH. His focus is in the area of public procurement law. There, he advises – in the context of national as well as Europe-wide tenders – both public clients and bidders on all procurement law issues. In particular, Max Burmeister assists public clients in the legally secure structuring of procurements. On the bidder side, he advises companies on the preparation of bids and supports clients in exercising their legal protection options before the public procurement review bodies.In addition, Max Burmeister also deals with questions relating to funding law and state aid law.
