After graduating from high school and studying law in Cologne with Prof Dr Friauf, Dr Herbert Ferger received his doctorate in constitutional law.
He began his professional career as a legal advisor in the transport department of the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHT) in Bonn. Subsequently he worked 13 years as managing director of the IHK Frankfurt/M., responsible for trade, transport and regional planning.
Dr Herbert Ferger then spent more than three years as Managing Director of the Bundesverband Spedition und Logistik (BSL) in Bonn. From spring 2000 until the end of February 2012, he was Chief Executive of the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
As Chairman of the Commission for Chamber Law Policy at the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) in Berlin, Dr Herbert Ferger played a key role in the further development of the law of economic self-administration.
In addition to profound knowledge of the law of economic self-administration and many years of experience in managing one of the largest German chambers of commerce and industry, Dr Herbert Ferger has an excellent network in politics, administration and business.
Dr Herbert Ferger joined the firm in 2012 as “Of Counsel”.
