Dr Gabriele Wurzel began – after graduating from the humanistic grammar school in Wiesbaden, studies in Mainz and Würzburg, including a 3-month internship at the European Parliament, earning a doctorate in municipal law and an exam with honours in Bavaria – in 1976 at the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice and can look back on a long career in administration and politics: the Office of the Director of the Federal Council, Rhineland-Palatinate State Representation, State Secretary in Rhineland-Palatinate (Interior), Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Head of the State Chancellery and Commissioner of the State to the Federal Government) and Lower Saxony (Head of the State Chancellery and Interior).
Dr Gabriele Wurzel has decades of experience in public law and is excellently networked in administration and politics.
She is co-editor of the handbook “Rechtspraxis der kommunalen Unternehmen” (Beck-Verlag) and author of numerous specialist publications in public law (including constitutional law).
Dr Gabriele Wurzel joined the firm in 2008 as “Of Counsel” after working together on a number of projects.
