Aljoscha Schaefer studied law at the Ruhr-University Bochum with a main emphasis on International and European Economy. He then attended the postgraduate LL.M. programme International Trade and Investment Law at the University of Amsterdam (passed with distinction). Working as research assistant in various leading law firms, Aljoscha Schaefer focused on public law especially on planning, environmental and regulatory matters. He completed his legal training at the Higher Regional Court Duesseldorf, working inter alia for the Federal Network Agency as well as renowned law firms in Cologne and Duesseldorf.

Joining CBH in 2020, his legal practice includes construction and planning law as well as environmental law. In particular, he has experience in advising major infrastructure projects such as public transportation lines and energy pipelines.
