After studying and passing his second state law examination in Cologne, Werner M. Mues has been part of CBH's team of lawyers since 1978.  Since 1988 he has been qualified as a Certified Specialist in Employment Law, is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA), of the German Section of the International Association for the Law of Work and Social Security as well as a member of the German Association of Employment Courts.

Werner M. Mues is one of the three authors of the Handbook on the Right of Dismissal and co-author of the Frankfurt Commentary on the Insolvency Code, Kassel Handbook on Employment Law, as well as the Specialists' Handbook on Insolvency Law. He gives lectures and organizes seminars on Labour and Employment Law and since 1987 has been a lecturer for he Specialist Employment Law Institute at the German Lawyers' Institute and is a regular commentator on judicial decisions in the specialist magazine "Der Arbeits-Rechts-Berater“.

His work centres on the Law on Works Councils, restructuring and the right of dismissal. He has long experience and a distinguished reputation for achieving the best results in negotiations.
