Dr.Sascha Vander studied law at Düsseldorf's Heinrich Heine University. During his legal traineeship he also worked in a leading international law firm in Frankfurt. After his second state law examination in 2002 Dr. Vander worked at Düsseldorf's Heinrich Heine University in the Department for Civil Law and also at the Centre for Industrial Property Law with Prof. Dr. Jan Busche. In 2005 he completed his doctorate there on the subject of "Value-added Services".
Dr. Sascha Vander was admitted to the bar in 2006 and was working for two years in an international law firm in Düsseldorf, concentrating on Industrial Property Law with a focus on IT Law.
He focuses on advising companies in the field of IT and telecommunications in all litigious and non-litigious matters, particularly with regard to Software and Licensing Law, Law on Telecommunications, E-Commerce and Data Protection and also industry-specific questions regarding general Civil and Commercial Law, including IT-Outsourcing and technology-orientated transactions. His activities also include Industrial Property Law with a focus on Competition and Media Law.
Whilst continuing with his professional activities Dr. Sascha Vander also completed his Masters degree on IT Law at Düsseldorf's Heinrich Heine University and is lecturing there on contract design and consumer protection, including value-added services. Dr. Vander also publishes regularly in relevant specialist journals, contributes to book publications and holds seminars on Industrial Property and IT Law.
