Dr. Markus Ruttig studied at Bonn, Edinburgh, Freiburg im Breisgau Universities and obtained his doctorate (Dr.) at Passau University. After his admission to the bar in 2001 he initially worked in an international law firm in Berlin in the field of Media Law before joining CBH in Cologne in 2004.
Dr. Markus Ruttig is a Certified Specialist in Industrial Property Law and specializes in the fields of Competition and Gambling Law. Copyright Law and the Law of Print Media constitute another focus of his work.
He also lectures at the Fresenius Europa-Fachhochschule and teaches at the Georg von Holtzbrinck School for Commercial Journalists of the Handelsblatt. The Commentary on Gambling Law which is published by C. H. Beck Verlag is co-edited and revised by Dr. Ruttig. He has also published extensively on Gambling and Copyright Law.
