Dieter Korten M.A. studied law and management at Bonn as well as in California and England. He has been advising companies in cross-border cases dealing with M & A, Company Law and Competition Law for more than 25 years. As a "trusted advisor“ to the supervisory bodies of companies his activities as a mediator or arbitrator have for many years also included the settlement of disputes arising between partners and participants in mergers & acquisitions. He acts as arbitrator for DIS, DIS Sports Arbitration(Cologne, Berlin), LCIA (London), ICHEIC (Washington D.C.) as well as arbitrator and mediator for ICM (Santa Monica, CA).
In his capacity as a reserve officer he is Chief of Staff of a military unit of the German Army deployed worldwide jointly with other armed forces, and is responsible for over 14,000 soldiers and civilian staff.
