Dr. Stefan Hertwig specializes in Public Procurement Law and its links to Commercial Law relating to local authorities and the European Law on Grants. The Law on Public Procurement today reaches far beyond the 'classic' procurement procedures and also covers the sale of land by public authorities, for example, or discount contracts between health insurance agencies and pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Hertwig was one of the participants in the framework proceedings concerning these matters.
Dr. Stefan Hertwig is a Certified Specialist both in Administrative Law and Building Law and the Law for Architects and lectures at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. He studied law between 1976 and 1980 at Munich, Geneva and Paris. After obtaining his doctorate (Dr.) and spending time at the Federal Ministry of Finance and as a District Court judge, he was admitted to the bar in 1989 in Cologne.
